Road Trip

We took a road trip to Huntsville, Al. earlier this month.  Mom needed to go back home and check on things at her house.  The wonderful thing about this trip is that we literally go by Hancock of Paducha!!  I know... how great is that.  We always stop on they way there and on the way back! This place is a feast for the eyes!  The quilts are just amazing. And there is fabric as far as the eye can see!  There are lots of people working and you realize that they are all pulling fabric and cutting fabric to full fulling many of their online orders.  Every time I stop I say I am not going to buy anything, I am just going to look...and of course that never happens. I tried to just concentrate on fabric I would need for my Etsy quilt. I think I did a good job of restraining myself! And since there was lots of driving involved,  I did mange to finish another chemo hat!

Road Trip and Knitting

Hubby and I took a road trip earlier this month.  He had a meeting in Charlotte NC.  I decided to tag along and we made a stop to see my parents.  If you know me then you know that when I travel my knitting is something that I ALWAYS pack and never leave behind.  You also know that I have the motto "one can never carry too much yarn!"  So after I loaded up the car, with an entire large Vera Bradley tote full of yarn and supplies, we were off! En route to my parents we pass by Paducah, Ky home to Hancock Fabrics of Paducah .  Great store with tons of fabrics, I could spend hours in there.  However on this trip it was closing in 15 minutes.  So all I got was a walk through... bummer.  It was a short visit at my parents but a good time was had by all! Hubby and I take turns driving after every 2 hours... most of the time that is fine.  However I got the Atlanta shift.  Lots of rain, lots of lanes and lots of trucks....
