Make 9 in 2018

So I have been intrigued on what kind of challenges I can do in 2018 to: Use up my fabric stash Work on some kits/projects I have had for awhile Do more fashion sewing Of course I am doing the 2018 UFO Challenge, I am also doing a 2018 BOM (well maybe one or two...more on that later).  And I found this 2018 Make Nine Challenge  .   Rochelle of Lucky Lucille started this in 2017 .   It's basically nine things that you want to make this year.  It can be fiber (knitting), fashion sewing or even quilting.  But these are wearable items.  And I thought well this is just the thing for me.  Making nine items should be pretty easy right?   I hope so, considering it is February and I still have yet to make my first item.    I first needed to decide what nine things I wanted to make.  That was pretty easy considering all the patterns and fabric that I have in my stash.  Here is my first go at my "Make Nine": So let's look at this list a litt

Valentine Love

And it's done! I purposely drive past my house so I can see the pillow. My neighbors have commented on how they love seeing the seasonal porch decorations.  I didn't realize how much they enjoy it.. and it makes my  heart happy! I used my Cricut Maker for this pillow and I just love how I could upload the images, do a little editing and then it was ready for use! This certainly made cutting things out so much easier, not to mentions precise! I also got some card making done.  I thought I would be making cards with my Circut Maker but when I saw this adorable pattern and her example... I couldn't help myself!  These were just too much fun.  I even bought extra patterns so I could give them to my quilting friends! Yesterday was such a great day that I had a chance to do a little more porch decorating! Hope the neighbors enjoy it! Since Valentine's Day is on Ash Wednesday, there won't be any candy, cake or specia

It's February!

As always when the month ends and another starts you always ask yourself...where did the time go? I made a little progress on my January UFOs.  I am hoping to finish up this weekend and I'll show pictures then. What's the number for February? And what is that for me?  The Sunflower Quilt/Wall Hanging was on last year's UFO list.  So I am determined to get it done this year We put the Bomber Jacket on hold last year because Madden was little and I wasn't sure if the parents were still in love with it.  Well I mentioned it last night and they are excited.  Lilac was the color of choice and wouldn't you know it..that is in my stash!! Look at this jacket... doesn't it just scream cuteness, specifically in lilac, light grey and light green? Or how about this little piece of cuteness? Light purple with grey accent? I also decided to do a more practical challenge this year.  I am going to try the 2018MakeNine challenge.  Basicall
