Well this blog has been around for quite awhile and I've never posted on it because I never really new how to start...well here goes.
You can read about me by checking out my profile.
My blog is called KnitSew4Hope because I have my own little non-profit. I've realized that my need to craft/create isn't because I necessarily need or want the end product but it is because I love the process of creating. I call it my "therapy". What do I do with all those things that I create? I sell them, usually by word of mouth. I've also sold thing at our local hospital gift shop with all the proceeds going to the hospital. In the beginning the donations were sent to the Susan G Komen Foundation. But then I had a change of heart and decided to keep the money as local as possible. I've thought about opening an ETSY shop but haven't quite made that step yet.
My goal for this year is to clear out that stash of stuff that I've been collecting over the years. I've decided that I am NOT (notice how I capitalized that) going to purchase any more new fabric, yarn, etc until I've made a little dent in what I have already. Yeah right you say....well I'm going to give it my best shot this year!
It is now February so what have I accomplished for the stash bust?
These little gems are designed by the Yarn Harlot herself Stephanie Pearl-McPhee. You can find her pattern here on Ravelry. The yarn is from the Deborah Norville Serenity but not quite sure which one.....??? Anyways when I found this cute little ball of yarn I thought it would make a great little boy bootie. Hopefully I have just enough yarn to knit a second pair...I'll keep you posted!!
