Well this was my very first "I made it" week and even though the weather wasn't the best I think it was a success. Friday was my last day and as you can see from the collage above this was my choice for the day:
Looks a lot like the pattern right? This was so easy to put together especially since there wasn't a zipper. This was cut as a size 8, something that I am still not used to. I still add extra on the hips so I grade it out to a size 12. My daughter would say that my clothes are too loose but I would say that they are nice and comfy!! This pattern essentially has 2 collars to achieve the look. I skipped the pockets. I find that unless they are stitched down they usually add bulk to the sides. I realize that most people leave reviews on the pattern and that is something that I have neglected to do so here goes....
Pattern sizing: size 8 graded to a size 12'at the hips.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the patten envelope: Most definitely!!
Were the instructions easy to follow: Yes!
What did you like or dislike about the pattern? Nothing. I really love this pattern. I love how the collar turned out.
Fabric used: Cotton weight that did not require the use of lining.
Pattern alterations or design change: Only change I made was to omit the pockets.
Would you sew it again or recommend it to others? Most definitely! I plan on making a black version of this for my daughter.
