So this month I challenged myself and my knitting friends to knit hats for their local chemo centers. I have finished four hats so far. Two of them are with a good friend who has breast cancer and is going through chemo. I can not even begin to imagine the path that she is walking but I am just happy to help make that journey just a little bit better....even if it is just a hat.
Here is my latest. It took a little more time but I just fell in love with the pattern:
This pattern can be found on Ravelry and is a free download. The yarn suggested in the pattern is no longer available but Cascade Fixation is great substitute!
Of course I have to thank my favorite salon, Gaia Salonspa and my good friend Mary for loaning me "Wendy". She has been a great model for all of the hats!
I've got one more hat on my knitting needles and I hope to get it done before the end of the month. With the Royals in the World Series, I am definitely getting lots of knitting done. And with at least 2 more games to go there is plenty of knitting ahead!
